Operation Safe Driver Week 2026 Has Been Scheduled

Operation Safe Driver Week 2026 Has Been Scheduled

The CVSA confirmed that Operation Safe Driver Week 2026 will take place from July 12 to July 18 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. During that week, authorities such as the CHP will increase roadside enforcement to detect dangerous driving behaviors among both truck drivers and passenger vehicle drivers.

The campaign will focus on violations related to speeding, cell phone use while driving, aggressive driving, unsafe lane changes, and failure to wear a seat belt. In Califo
ia, reinforced operations are expected along high-traffic commercial corridors such as I-5, I-10, I-15, and CA-99, as well as areas near ports and logistics centers.

Authorities reminded drivers that violations recorded during this campaign can also affect the CSA records of both the driver and the company. For this reason, experts recommend checking documentation, ELDs, lights, and tires before the enforcement week begins in order to avoid fines or more severe inspections during the period of intensified controls.
