Paper Log Book will soon be History with new Electronic System (ELD)

Transportation companies' concerns regarding the mandate for the paper log book's transition to electronic logging devices (ELD) and its deadline can apparently be forgotten. This is the promise made by J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc, a family owned company aiming to help fleets of truck companies during the transition from paper logs to ELDs, using their new electronic logging device rollout service.

With the mission to protect transportation companies from frustrations, difficulties, and business interruptions that could happen during the transition from paper logs to ELDs, J. J. Keller & Associates launched the Driver DataSense® Plus with ELD Rollout Service. The service will assist transportation companies in meeting the ELD mandate deadline; helping fleets during the installation process of ELDs in trucks; and the configuration of a back office system.

J.J Keller considers the ELD rollout process is extremely important, and for this reason they analyze each case and transportation company before proceeding. Therefore, they are responsible for organizing and optimizing time for both system implementation and preparing the team for the process.

Once the transportation company and collaborators are prepared for the rollout, J.J. Keller’s team assures that they will:

  • Create a gradual ELD rollout plan to help carriers know the timings and actions of each step.
  • Coordinate the ELDs installation with the fleet company in the trucks to reduce trucker downtime.
  • Help truckers download and set up the Mobile® logging app on their devices.
  • Coordinate and give ELD training to drivers about J.J. Keller® Encompass® back-office configuration.
  • Offer updates and 24/7 technical support to truck drivers.

J.J Keller affirms that after the system is up and running correctly with each fleet company, they will compile and analyze data from ELDs with driver paper logs, searching for any compliance or performance problems to help fleets of trucks solve them. Data is available 24/7 through a company´s client portal. Further information is on the official website at:
