New Line of AllFit Clutches Announced by meritor

Meritor VERT CMYKMeritor has launched a new line of Meritor AllFit clutches specially designed for the distributor’s warehouse customers as well as original equipments. The new all-makes clutch line includes both self and manual adjusting models, covering for heavy-duty, medium-duty, light-duty and off-road applications.
The announcement came during the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2016 here last month. Jason Kraus, senior manager, drive-train, aftermarket for Mentor said that after an extensive market research, they are offering a competitive portfolio of Meritor Allfit clutches, serving all channel. He also mentioned that this new product offering matches customers’ demand for top quality clutches at competitive price.
The AllFit Meritor clutches are equipped with exclusive high-performance friction material and also the new units do not need assessed core charge or core handling fees.
All critical interior components are new, not remanufactured, Kraus said, adding that the new line is covered with standard one-year product warranty with a unique labor reimbursement up to $800.
The manual-adjust model is designed to maximize uptime as well as offering convenient operation for its drivers. To reduce maintenance costs and minimize downtime, the high-torque, easy pedal effort clutch, reduces extreme drive train vibration. The manual-adjusting portfolio includes a variety of sizes and torque ratings available:
• For medium-duty applications, 14-inch clutch is assembled with torque ratings from 620 to 1,400 pound-feet
• A 15.5-inch clutch is assembled with seven-, eight-, nine- and 10-spring disc designs offering torque ratings
• 15.5-inch easy-pedal effort clutches which offers a single-motion adjustment
• The self-adjusting model is designed to help extend service life by neutralizing the downtime usually associated with regular clutch adjustments. It is available in 15.5” x 2” size; the self-adjusting clutch is equipped with seven springs or nine springs in four- and six-paddle options. Unique features included in the self-adjusting model are:
• A technology for over-adjustment prevention
• Patent-pending Actively Expanding Seal (AES) delivering anti-contamination enclosure
• To ensure positive adjustment it includes self-locking worm gear
• Installation uses the same procedure employed for installing manually adjusted clutches
• Simple reset procedure of required, that does not require clutch removal. ETM
